Founded in 2014, Local Measure took shape when our CEO & Founder, Jonathan Barouch, saw a huge disconnect in the travel, tourism, retail and hospitality industries. There was a disconnect where customer feedback and happiness were left in the hands of third-party review platforms - not the companies that needed these insights to improve their service, revenue and customer loyalty.
With an expert leadership team and board behind him, Jonathan and the Local Measure team partnered with companies such as Accor, Hard Rock Cafe, Virgin Hotels, Village Roadshow, Sea World - and more beloved brands.
Then COVID-19 hit.
Due to the pandemic, many hotels, restaurants, cafes and travel businesses were forced to close or significantly reduce their operations and services. Local Measure’s clients, sadly, took the hardest hit and they needed a way of dealing with the challenges of increased customer contact and remote working that the pandemic threw at them.
For Jonathan and the Local Measure team, this presented an opportunity to take a pause - and put Local Measure's engineers on a new idea that could help businesses navigate in this new environment. In mid-2020, Local Measure launched a new SaaS product, a cloud contact centre solution called Engage for Amazon Connect. Today, once again, hotels, restaurants and cafes are continuing to use Local Measure's Guest Experience Suite to improve their service and contact centers around the world are moving to the cloud with Engage - speaking volumes for our team and vision from day one: To build a world where every customer experience is exceptional.
